John Kraft is a solo practitioner focused on appeals and post-conviction relief, along with select criminal and intellectual property litigation. He brings substantial experience from serving as an Assistant District Attorney representing the State on appeal, as an officer in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, and from handling a high volume of felony cases as an Assistant Public Defender early in his career. He also served as chief law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Kansas Supreme Court, gaining firsthand insight into how appellate courts evaluate and decide cases. Additionally, he has represented and advised small businesses in intellectual property matters. He earned his law degree from New York University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University.
